I’m pro-Hitler. I’m also not anti-Stalin, so I have a complicated view on these issues. Well, it’s maybe not that complicated. Historically, Russia and Germany got along with each other, and World War II was sort of a fluke. The 20th century would not have been botched if Hitler and Stalin would have met, had a two hour meeting, and came to a reasonable agreement that worked for both parties.
Hitler and Stalin could have beaten the UK and America, and you can spend a lot of time thinking what the world would look like now if that had happened. There was never really any chance that Germany could have beaten every country on earth. They came remarkably, astonishingly close, but it just wasn’t a viable proposition in the first place. (Granted, Hitler obviously didn’t know how the chips were going to fall, so I don’t blame him.)
Anyway, the Germans – or rather, the establishment of Germany, women in particular, it’s certainly not the case with all Germans – are obsessed with doing a spectacular display of penitence for the alleged actions of Adolf Hitler. Hitler, according to various absurd and unfounded rumors, turned sixty trillion Jews into furniture and cleaning products, and now, according to these people in Berlin, the entire German nation is permanently guilty of perpetrating this fake event. So they have to do things to show remorse.
It’s incredibly fascinating that their mode of doing this is to arm neo-Nazi groups to fight a war against Russia. It really demonstrates that everything that is happening on this earth is absurd beyond belief.
The fact that they are now assisting these neo-Nazi groups in doing terrorist actions against Russian civilians can only be described as hilarious. The Wehrmacht didn’t do this. Whatever you think of the Nazis, their position was that they were liberating the Russians from communism. The position of the Berlin and Brussels elite right now is that they are trying to end the Russian race by any means necessary.
This is to say: even if you believed every moronic story about Hitler, the current German government is way more extreme.
The German chancellor, Olaf Scholz, has promised a full investigation after a recording purportedly of confidential army talks on the Ukraine war was circulated on Russian social media, in a huge embarrassment for Berlin.
It seems worse than an “embarrassment.”
We’re talking about war crimes.
A German defence ministry spokesperson confirmed to Agence France-Presse that the ministry believed a conversation in the air force division was “intercepted”. “We are currently unable to say for certain whether changes were made to the recorded or transcribed version that is circulating on social media,” they said.
Margarita Simonyan, a Russian state TV journalist and the head of Russia Today, posted an audio file on her Telegram channel and claimed it revealed German officers “discussing how to strike the Crimea bridge”, which links Russia to the Ukrainian peninsula it seized and annexed in 2014.
I thought they were going to defeat the Russians on the battlefield and collapse their economy?
Why would they need to do atrocities to harass and murder random Russians?
Participants in the call also appear to discuss the possible delivery of Taurus cruise missiles to Kyiv, which Scholz has publicly so far firmly rejected. They also talk about the training of Ukrainian soldiers, and possible military targets. Kyiv has long called on Germany to provide it with Taurus missiles, which can reach targets up to 500km (300 miles) away.
Reuters listened to the 38-minute recording but could not independently confirm its authenticity.
It’s confirmed by others, and it is self-confirming.
There is information on it that couldn’t have been known by anyone other than the authorities of Germany.
Scholz, speaking on a visit to Rome, called the potential leak “very serious” and said it was “now being clarified very carefully, very intensively and very quickly”.
Russia’s embassy in Berlin did not respond to an emailed request for comment on Saturday about allegations of possible spying. A Russian foreign ministry spokesperson said on social media on Friday: “We demand an explanation from Germany”, without detailing its particular concerns.
Bombing civilian infrastructure is always a war crime.
Russia isn’t doing this.
Russia has fought this whole war with both hands tied behind their back, because they view the Ukrainians as their brothers and they’re not trying to exterminate them. (Note: I think they should be doing heavy Samizdat pamphlet drops, explaining their position to the hohols. I don’t actually know why they don’t.)
I don’t agree with that strategy by the way. I think Putin should have done Kiev like the Americans did Fallujah. But I’m not Putin and it’s not my place to criticize him. He’s smarter than me and he’s playing a long game. He’s also much more restrained than me, which is presumably why he was able to do the miracle he did for Russia over the last two decades.
If I’d been made leader of Russia in 2000, I would have immediately had all of the “oligarchs” arrested and their assets seized by the state and turn the entire country into a war machine.
Germany’s ARD broadcaster described the leak as a “catastrophe” for the German secret services.
According to Der Spiegel magazine, the videoconference was held on the WebEx platform, and not on a secret internal army network.
“If this story turns out to be true, it would be a highly problematic event,” Green party politician Konstantin von Notz told the RND broadcaster.
Yeah, “highly problematic” is exactly how I would describe it.
A lot, lot of Germans are getting sick of this “war for global anus” bullshit. They’re sick of sacrificing their economy and their way of life to try to force Russians to do gay rimjobs on small boys. The revelation that the German government is actively involved not only in arms transfers they said they wouldn’t do, which would be for the purpose of attacking Russia proper (February 2022 borders), but in a plan to do terrorist acts against civilians is not going to sit well.
Of course, there is nothing the Germans can do to stop their government from doing anything, because Germany is a democracy. Well, there are things they could start doing. Obvious things I won’t mention.
But they won’t.
